Kevin D. Frazier, 64, of Fawn Grove was wearing his helmet while riding his 2022 Ducati Monster motorcycle when he fatally crashed, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.
He was speeding and following a 17-year-old boy's 2024 Chevrolet Silverado too closely in the first block of West Main Street/Route 851 when the boy slowed for passing traffic and Frazier slammed into the rear of his vehicle, PSP detailed in a release.
The crash happened at 3:04 on Dec. 13, as detailed in Trooper Olivia Gard's report.
Deputy Coroner Michele Kirchner was called to the scene to investigate and certify the death at approximately 3:34 p.m. and Frazier was declared deceased at 5:18 p.m.
The teenage boy was unharmed and was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, Trooper Gard detailed.
The marked speed in the area is 35 MPH, as shown on Google Maps, and Frazier's speed is unknown, but Gard noted that if he had survived he could have been cited for "driving at a safe speed."
Main Street remained closed shut down between Market Street until Kennard-Dale High School as of 6:30 p.m.
There will be no autopsy but a routine toxicology test was performed, Coroner Pam Gay explained. His accidental death was officially caused by blunt force trauma, Gay determined.
Kevin was a Marine, according to his brother. He enjoyed guns, cars, and spending time with his family and his cat, his Facebook profile shows.
